Jira Service Desk Consultant


Location: Austin TX/ REMOTE Work

Duration: 6 months++

Salary/Rates: Negotiable

 

Required Skills: 

  • 3+ years’ experience in Jira, Confluence and Jira Service Desk Administration
  • 3+ years’ experience in business process improvements

Preferred Skills 

  • BA/BS in Information Systems, Project Management, or related major
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex IT systems and processes
  • Basic understanding of databases like SQL server, MySQL
  • JIRA Atlassian Certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Experienced Jira Service Desk administrator and Confluence administrator – defining and building using custom workflows, post-conditions and custom issue types.
  • Review existing projects, permissions, workflows, dashboards and identify where functionality can or cannot meet user requests.
  • Creating and migrating JIRA projects and making changes to workflows, screens, and fields
  • Develop metrics, dashboards, and advanced filters in JIRA/Confluence/Service Desk to provide end-users and business leadership with meaningful operational/performance metrics and customized status reports.
  • Working with internal customers to gather their JIRA project requirements and design a scalable solution
  • Testing, installing, upgrading, and configuring Jira plugins
